Matthew Barney and Elizabeth Peyton: Blood of Two
Essays by Angus Cook. In June of 2009 Deste Foundation invited Matthew Barney and Elizabeth Peyton to collaborate for the inuaguration of their new project space; a converted slaughterhouse on the island of Hydra. Mostly themed around food an flesh, this site-specific installation presents sculptures, drawings, and paintings, as well as a vitrine emerging from the sea housing several of both artist's works. This publication documents their collaboration through photographs of the installation, their works, and the procession.
